Free Dental Camp Offers Treatment to Four Hundred Patients in Faridpur

A day-long free dental camp and health awareness program took place on Monday at the Alhaj M. A. Aziz High School premises, located in the Faridpur Sadar upazila. The event was organized through the initiative of Samakal Suhrid Samabesh to address the dental health needs of the local community and promote general health awareness among residents.

The medical activities officially commenced at 10 in the morning and continued uninterrupted until 4 in the afternoon. Throughout the duration of the camp, a total of four hundred patients received professional medical treatment and essential health consultation services from the attending physicians and dental specialists.

Among the beneficiaries was 55-year-old Kulsum Khatun, who shared her experience of receiving care at the location. Expressing relief regarding the assistance provided during the program, she stated, 'For about a month, I could not sleep properly due to toothache. Coming here, I received advice from the doctors. Along with examining me, the doctors also provided some medicine.'

Medical professionals and organizers present at the school grounds included Dr. Sohel Rana, Dr. Fazle Shawon Haque, Dr. Taslim Bin Hasan, Kulsum Khatun, Mujibur Rahman, Hasanuzzaman, Dr. Saki Khan, Abrab Nadim Itu, Probhat Singh, Nazmul Haque, Swarna Islam, Onik Biswas, Shawon Ahmed, Ohidul Islam, Marnim Sadik Arko, Ornab Das, Harunar Rashid, Nazmul Islam Miran, and Shamima Nasrin Shimu. The organizations involved in supporting and facilitating the program comprised Samakal Suhrid Samabesh, Alhaj M. A. Aziz High School, Samakal, Orchid Smile Dental, and Khan Diagnostic and Hospital.

Highlighting the rationale behind the undertaking, Ohidul Islam remarked, 'Free medical camps focusing on dental treatment are not seen very often. Yet dental health is extremely crucial for staying healthy. Keeping that thought in mind, this dental camp has been organized with the objective of creating awareness among people regarding dental health and providing necessary medical services.'

In addition to professional consultations and diagnoses, patients who attended the day-long program at the school premises were also provided with complimentary items. As part of the organizers' support initiatives, the patients received free toothpaste and necessary medications before leaving the venue.
