Flash Floods Kill Seven in Nepal as Trawler Capsizes in Bangladesh

In Nepal's Rasuwa district, an unexpected flash flood claimed the lives of seven individuals. The natural disaster was caused by a massive surge of water flowing from Tibet into the Bhotikoshi river, which subsequently inundated the local area and sparked emergency rescue operations.
Alongside the confirmed fatalities in Rasuwa, authorities reported that eight border security police personnel remain missing following the deluge. Emergency services, including the Nepal Army and Nepali police, have been deployed to the affected district to search for the missing personnel and assist residents impacted by the disaster. Rescue teams managed to pull eighteen individuals alive from the water in related operations, while seven bodies were recovered in total from the Bangladeshi maritime incident. Among the confirmed casualties recovered from the capsized FB Barkot is a fisherman named Saikul Mir. Officials such as Md. Ashraf and Shakil have been coordinating aspects of the local response alongside emergency responders.
Despite intensive search efforts by the Coast Guard and naval police, five fishermen from the sunken trawler are still unaccounted for.
