According to official reports, the sudden electrical spark triggered immediate concern within the medical facility as staff rushed to address the emergency situation unfolding inside the critical care ward.
At the time the blaze started, a total of 33 newborns were admitted inside the intensive care unit receiving medical attention. Swift action by personnel ensured that the remaining 30 infants were safely rescued from the ward unharmed. Hospital staff worked quickly to evacuate the endangered babies away from the source of the fire and smoke, preventing a far larger tragedy within the crowded healthcare facility.
Following the accident, the hospital administration arranged for the three burned newborns to be transferred to Jabalpur Medical College for specialized medical treatment. Medical professionals at the receiving institution are now overseeing the ongoing care required for the injured infants following their emergency relocation from the Chhindwara facility.
