England secured a comprehensive six-wicket victory against Sri Lanka in the second match of the three-match T20 series, held on 17 September at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff. With this dominant win, England have successfully claimed the T20 series with one match still remaining to be played. The stellar performance by the English side was highlighted by explosive batting and disciplined bowling performances on the ground in Cardiff.

During Sri Lanka's innings, the visiting side managed to put up a total of 148 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Pathum Nissanka led the scoring for Sri Lanka with 37 runs, while Charith Asalanka contributed 31 runs and Wanindu Hasaranga added 27 runs to the total. Despite these efforts, the Sri Lankan batting lineup was kept in check by a potent English bowling attack.
