Ecolet Private Limited has officially signed an agreement to establish a modern LED product manufacturing factory inside the BEPZA Economic Zone situated in Mirsarai, Chattogram. The formal agreement was recently executed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and Ecolet Private Limited at the BEPZA Complex located in Dhaka.

Under the terms of the newly finalized agreement, the enterprise will inject approximately 1.6 crore, or 16 million, US dollars in direct investments to build and operate this industrial facility. The manufacturing plant is designated as a 100 percent export-oriented enterprise, meaning its entire production output will be channeled directly into international markets across the globe.

Upon the commencement of full operations, the newly established factory will possess the manufacturing capacity to produce 6 million pieces of LED bulbs and decorative lights annually. These high-demand technological products will subsequently be exported to several key international destinations, specifically including the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and various countries located throughout the Middle East.

Beyond its significant contribution to industrial exports, the project is projected to generate substantial economic opportunities for the local workforce. The implementation of this manufacturing plant will create direct employment opportunities for at least 306 Bangladeshi citizens, providing them with stable jobs within the technology-focused production sector.

Highlighting the strategic importance of this venture, Major General Mohammad Moazzem Hossain stated that BEPZA is placing a strong emphasis on producing high-value and technology-dependent goods beyond the traditional readymade garment sector. He further remarked that the establishment of this LED factory in the Mirsarai BEPZA Economic Zone will add a fresh dimension to the ongoing efforts aimed at diversifying Bangladesh's export products.
