The capital city of Dhaka has officially welcomed the grand opening of two major international trade exhibitions dedicated to the country's booming textile and garment sector. The 13th Bangladesh Yarn, Fabrics and Accessories Show 2026, alongside the concurrent Bangladesh Texchem Expo 2026, commenced yesterday on Thursday at the expansive International Convention City Bashundhara, commonly known as ICCB.
This significant four-day industrial event has been organized by ASK Trade and Exhibitions Private Limited, a prominent exhibition organizing firm. The formal inauguration ceremony took place on Thursday, with Mohammad Hatem, the president of the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association, attending the opening proceedings as the chief guest to formally launch the exhibitions.
Highlighting the strategic importance of the twin expositions, Tipu Sultan Bhuiyan of ASK Trade and Exhibitions Private Limited elaborated on the extensive array of products and innovations on display. He emphasized that sourcing new technologies and innovative fabrics is critically essential for ensuring the continued growth and quality enhancement of the readymade garment sector.
According to Tipu Sultan Bhuiyan, the exhibitions comprehensively feature a diverse and extensive collection of items tailored for both woven and knit garments. Visitors can explore a wide variety of yarns, including specialized blended yarns, alongside traditional and modern textiles ranging from wool and suiting materials to printed fabrics, as well as dedicated sports and home fabrics.
Beyond basic textiles and yarns, the showcase also extends to numerous garment accessories alongside advanced processing technologies such as embroidery and hot stamping. To facilitate maximum industry engagement and B2B networking, the exhibition venue at ICCB remains open daily for trade visitors starting from 11:00 am through 7:00 pm.
