Dhaka 'Soccarama' Concert Featuring Claudio Caniggia Postponed
The 'Soccarama' concert scheduled for August 18 at Dhaka's United Convention Center has been postponed. The event was set to feature Argentine football icon Claudio Caniggia alongside several prominent bands.

The highly anticipated 'Soccarama' concert, which was scheduled to take place tomorrow, August 18, at the United Convention Center in Dhaka, has been officially postponed. The landmark event was designed to celebrate the intersection of music and sports, bringing together fans and artists for a unique cultural experience in the capital.
The concert was set to feature appearances by legendary Argentine football star Claudio Caniggia, who electrified the global stage during the 1990 and 1994 World Cups. Anticipation for his arrival had run high among local musicians and fans alike, with several top-tier Bangladeshi rock and alternative bands lined up to perform in his honor.
Among the prominent musical acts confirmed for the lineup were Chirkutt, Artcell, Nemesis, and Odd Signature. In the lead-up to the event, Chirkutt expressed their excitement about performing for the World Cup icon, praising his determination and aura on the football pitch. Similarly, Odd Signature noted that the fusion of music and football would make the day a festive celebration, highlighting Caniggia as a major attraction.
The collaborative event was organized jointly by Link3 and Affordable Ventures Limited. To facilitate attendance, advance ticket sales had already commenced through the Tickify ticketing platform, offering various pricing tiers to accommodate fans across the city.
The ticketing structure included Silver category tickets priced at 2,000 taka, Gold category tickets at 3,000 taka, and Platinum category tickets available for 10,000 taka. Organizers and participants have not yet announced a rescheduled date for the postponed concert following the sudden halt in preparations.
