On September 17, drivers across several areas of Dhaka reported that the supply and pressure of gas at various CNG filling stations had increased. The positive shift brought relief to motorists who had previously struggled with severe shortages and erratic availability across the capital.

The improved conditions were observed at multiple locations including Tejgaon, Hajipara, Mohakhali, Demra, Maniknagar, Kamalapur, Rayerbag, and the airport area. Unlike the dire situation of recent days and the past month-long crisis, drivers no longer had to endure long waiting times of three to four hours. Instead, motorists were able to obtain gas within approximately one hour.

Reflecting on the change, driver Liakat Ali shared his experience after visiting a station. He noted that his vehicle was completely empty of gas when he arrived around 9:30 AM and managed to get a supply. He stated that under the current circumstances, he was satisfied with the amount of gas he received for the money spent. Liakat Ali further explained that while good pressure normally yields 650 taka worth of gas, the current supply would at least allow him to get his work done, despite receiving varying amounts such as 260 taka or 250 taka worth of fuel, with pressure registering around 100 to 120.

Another motorist, Anwar Hossain, also expressed satisfaction despite receiving a smaller amount, mentioning that he obtained 120 taka worth of gas and was happy with it.

Station staff and managers confirmed the notable change in operations. Ilyas Ali, a representative at one of the pumps, stated that the pressure was better than it had been over the past few days, noting that the previous days had seen such a terrible state that they could not even dispense gas. However, Ilyas Ali also expressed doubt about whether this favorable gas pressure would last.

Other workers corroborated the improvement. Anisur Rahman remarked that while the pressure was good, it contrasted sharply with the widespread outcry and scarcity that had persisted for over a month. Pump workers Ohab and Arif Hossain both noted that the pressure was good, with Arif Hossain adding that yesterday and today showed similar improvements, queues were minimal, and operations overall had been running smoothly for the past two days.
