The Ministry of Commerce has formally announced that there are no restrictions or prohibitions in place regarding the regular and normal operational activities of the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh, commonly known as REHAB. The official statement from the ministry provides crucial clarity on the operational status of the prominent housing and real estate sector organization in the country, ensuring that its day-to-day functions can proceed without administrative interference.

This latest development follows a previous directive issued by the Ministry of Commerce earlier in the summer. Specifically, on July 30, the ministry had issued memorandum number 154, which temporarily put a hold on the organization's annual general meeting, commonly referred to as the AGM, mandating a postponement for a period of thirty days.

In response to the administrative suspension of the annual general meeting, formal steps were taken by the leadership of the real estate association to seek a resolution and clarification from the government authorities. REHAB President Dr. Ali Afzal officially submitted an application to the relevant government offices on August 16 to address the situation.

Following the submission made by the REHAB president, the Ministry of Commerce reviewed the matter and subsequently issued the updated stance confirming the unrestricted nature of the association's standard operational procedures. This announcement provides a definitive administrative position on the matter, ensuring that the organization can continue its routine functions moving forward.
