CIS and DCHT Deliver Relief Aid to Flood Victims in Nepal

In response to the severe flooding that has recently impacted Nepal, humanitarian efforts have been mobilized by the Community Initiative Society (CIS) and the Dhaka Community Hospital Trust Team (DCHT). Both organizations have stepped forward to stand beside the individuals and families who have suffered losses and hardships as a result of the devastating natural disaster.

As part of this ongoing relief initiative, a consignment of essential medicines and health protection supplies has been successfully handed over to those in need. The formal handover took place at a designated medical site, specifically at the 1st Military Training Center Field Hospital located in Trishuli Bazar, Nepal.

The relief materials provided by the CIS and DCHT teams have been carefully selected to address the immediate medical and hygiene requirements of the flood-affected population. Among the items included in the handover are a variety of essential medications required for managing chronic and common health conditions.

The distributed pharmaceutical supplies specifically cover treatments for diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, and hyperlipidemia. In addition, the medical package includes remedies for everyday ailments such as colds, coughs, various skin diseases, and gastric issues to ensure comprehensive healthcare support for the impacted communities.

Beyond pharmaceutical drugs, the organizations also delivered crucial health protection and personal hygiene items to the field hospital. These supplementary supplies consist of sanitary pads, protective masks, and antibacterial soaps, all aimed at maintaining hygiene standards and preventing the spread of disease in the aftermath of the floods.
