Child Actress Tridha Pal Mann Discusses Her Acting Journey

Child actress Tridha Pal Mann recently shared extensive details regarding her growing career in the entertainment industry during an interview event. Speaking about her initial introduction to the performing arts, she explained that her journey began at a very young age when she first learned how to speak. Her parents, Sharmistha Sengupta and Biplab Pal, would demonstrate various concepts and portrayals to her, including how impoverished people navigate their daily lives. As she grew older, she was officially enrolled in training programs for dancing, singing, acting, and recitation, which allowed her to build a strong foundation. Additionally, she mentioned her involvement with the theatre group 'Skywatch', where she actively participates in stage performances. She noted that her mother previously belonged to the renowned theatre group 'Nandikar', and although she herself did not join 'Nandikar', she grew up listening to numerous stories about it from her mother.

Discussing her specific acting projects, Tridha detailed her participation in the film 'Bonolata Express', which was directed by Tanim Noor. She explained that the production utilized a combination of real railway settings and an indoor wooden set constructed inside the FDC for interior train sequences. The overall shooting schedule for her portion of the project lasted approximately 16 or 17 days. Because she and her family reside outside of Dhaka, specifically in Chattogram, she received crucial logistical and emotional support from her uncle and aunt, which enabled her to complete the filming process smoothly. Her character in the production was named Nitu, though she noted that she has other names as well, including a recently given name, Prapti, alongside her actual given name, Mann.

Reflecting on her experiences working alongside established industry professionals, Tridha expressed immense joy regarding the collaborative environment on set. She highlighted working with prominent actors such as Chanchal Chowdhury, Sabila Nur, Mosharraf Karim, Amatunnur Bushra, and Abdul Ila, noting that everyone involved was exceptionally friendly and approachable. In particular, she praised the acting style of Mosharraf Karim, observing that he possessed the remarkable ability to remember his dialogue simply by reading it through once without needing formal memorization. She also recalled humorous and challenging moments from production, such as an instance during the web series 'Besura' where the cast faced muddy, slippery terrain and deep pits that caused several individuals to stumble and sustain minor injuries. She also remembered a specific comedic line delivered by Mosharraf Karim during 'Bonolata Express' involving the numbers 69 and 96.

Addressing the reactions from her educational environment, Tridha shared that her teachers and schoolmates were very supportive throughout the release of 'Bonolata Express'. Prior to the premiere, her current class teacher and the school principal inquired frequently about the release date, and both provided significant encouragement. She mentioned that while her school traditionally did not allow such extracurricular entertainment pursuits easily, her peers and instructors were thrilled to see her on screen, and she eventually watched the film after traveling to Dhaka. Outside of her professional acting commitments, she enjoys spending time with her pet bird, engaging in arts and crafts, painting, playing with clay, and reading books such as 'The Boy Who Grew Dragons'. Her favorite films include 'Arundhati', 'Toofan', and 'Jinn', and she also enjoys singing traditional numbers like 'Purano Sei Diner Kotha'.
