Bangladesh U20 hockey team heads to China after warmup match

The Bangladesh Under-20 hockey team is preparing to travel to China on Saturday night to participate in the upcoming Junior Asia Cup tournament. Ahead of this important international assignment, the junior squad has been finalizing its tactical preparations through competitive fixtures on home soil.

As part of their final preparations, the Bangladesh Under-20 hockey team squared off against the senior national hockey team in a match held at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium in Dhaka. The training encounter provided both sides with a rigorous test of their capabilities on the turf.

During the closely contested match at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium, the senior national hockey team ultimately emerged victorious against their younger counterparts. The senior squad defeated the Junior Asia Cup-bound team by a narrow margin of 4-3 goals at the final whistle.

The senior national team's victory was anchored by a stellar individual performance from Ashraful, who netted a hat-trick during the match. Teammate Rocky also contributed to the senior side's tally by scoring one goal to help secure the 4-3 win.

Despite the defeat, the Bangladesh Under-20 hockey team displayed notable fighting spirit by scoring three goals against the senior national squad. Jony, Taiyab, and Ashraful Alam each scored one goal apiece for the junior side before their departure for China.
