The Bangladesh football federation, known as BFF, organized a press conference prior to the under-20 football team's departure for Uzbekistan. However, the event was completely overshadowed by reports of a physical altercation between the coaching staff.

During the briefing, neither the team's head coach nor the team captain was present to address the media. Instead, the conference was attended by manager Samid Kashem and technical director Saiful Bari Titu.

Addressing the journalists present, manager Samid Kashem explained the absence of the team's leadership. Kashem stated that an incident had indeed occurred, and an official investigation into the matter is currently underway. Because of this situation, officials decided they did not want the coaches to face the media directly.

Kashem further elaborated on the logistical challenges and disciplinary measures surrounding the tour. He noted that there are no direct flights to Uzbekistan, which required the team to travel in multiple groups today. Kashem apologized as manager, acknowledging that having key personnel absent is not their usual custom, but it was done so that the focus of the coaches and players would not be disrupted.

Despite the turmoil surrounding the departure, the manager sought to reassure the public regarding the internal atmosphere of the squad. Kashem stated that the situation within the camp has since returned to normal and that everyone is currently in a good mood.

The manager also addressed the timing of the disclosures and decisions made by the administration. He explained that they did not want to make any such decisions prior to the tour that might negatively impact the team, adding that there was also a delay in receiving the relevant information about the altercation.
