Bangladesh offers free AI and cyber security training for youth

The Department of Youth Development under the government of Bangladesh has launched a new initiative to provide free training programs focused on artificial intelligence and cyber security. In the current employment landscape, having only a university degree no longer guarantees a job, as employers increasingly prioritize practical working skills over traditional academic qualifications.

Experts note that acquiring education and proficiency in artificial intelligence has become crucial for individuals seeking to build a successful career. At the same time, workplace demands are shifting rapidly, and statistical projections indicate that approximately 39 percent of jobs in the current labor market will either become irrelevant or undergo complete transformation.

To help young people adapt to these sweeping economic changes, the government training program is specifically designed to equip participants with modern technical expertise. Eligible candidates who have successfully passed their Higher Secondary Certificate examinations are permitted to apply for enrollment in these specialized courses.

In addition to receiving valuable instruction at no cost, participants enrolled in the program are provided with several financial and professional incentives. Specifically, the training course offers a daily transport allowance of 200 taka to help students with commuting costs, alongside an official government certificate upon successful completion of the curriculum.
