Bangladesh Jeweller's Association Updates Gold and Silver Prices

The Bangladesh Jeweller's Association, commonly known as BAJUS, has officially determined and updated the new prices for gold and silver jewelry within the domestic market of Bangladesh. According to the announcement released on August 27, 2026, these newly adjusted rates became effective starting from August 25 at 10 in the morning.

Under the updated pricing structure determined by the association, the best quality 22-carat gold jewelry is now being sold in the domestic market for 2,47,743 BDT per bhori, which includes the applicable value-added tax. This positions the best quality 22-carat gold jewelry at over 2,47,000 BDT per bhori.

The price adjustments further extend to other categories of gold as outlined by the association. Specifically, 21-carat gold jewelry is being sold at 2,36,604 BDT per bhori, while 18-carat gold jewelry is priced at 2,03,187 BDT per bhori. Additionally, traditional method gold is being sold in the market for approximately 1,66,000 Bhori, with the exact rate officially set at 1,65,920 BDT per bhori.

Alongside gold, BAJUS has also updated the prices for silver jewelry across various purities in the domestic market. The best quality 22-carat silver jewelry is being sold for over 5,000 Bhori, with the exact price established at 5,482 BDT per bhori.

Further detailed rates for silver include 21-carat silver priced at 5,249 BDT per bhori, and 18-carat silver set at 4,491 BDT per bhori. Finally, traditional method silver is being retailed at 3,383 BDT per bhori as part of the comprehensive domestic market price update executed by the association.
