Bangladesh Jeweller's Association Raises Gold Prices in Domestic Market
The Bangladesh Jeweller's Association (BAJUS) has announced a significant price hike for gold in the domestic market. The new rates, which include a notable increase for premium 22-carat gold, officially took effect on Saturday morning.

The Bangladesh Jeweller's Association, commonly known as BAJUS, has officially announced an increase in gold prices within the domestic market of Bangladesh. This recent adjustment by the organization affects various categories of precious metals, bringing new pricing structures into effect for consumers and traders across the country.
According to the latest announcements from the Bangladesh Jeweller's Association, the price for the highest quality 22-carat gold has been increased by 5,482 taka per bhori. Following this substantial markup, the new price for one bhori of 22-carat gold now stands at 2,46,110 taka.
In addition to the premium 22-carat gold adjustments, the updated pricing schedule outlines new rates for other popular grades of gold in the domestic market. The price for 21-carat gold has been adjusted to either 2,35,030 taka or 2,35,035 taka. Meanwhile, the price for 18-carat gold has been fixed at either 2,01,845 taka or 2,01,846 taka. Furthermore, the price for traditional method gold has been set at 1,64,812 taka.
Alongside the increases applied to various purities of gold, the Bangladesh Jeweller's Association has also implemented a price revision for silver. Specifically, the price for 22-carat silver has increased to reach 5,482 taka.
The newly announced price figures for these precious metals were officially put into effect starting on Saturday. According to the directives issued by the Bangladesh Jeweller's Association, the updated rates became effective promptly at 10 in the morning.
