According to the official update released on August 23 by the Meteorological Department, the atmospheric disturbance is affecting coastal waters and surrounding maritime zones.

In response to the developing weather system, the maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla, and Payra have been instructed to hoist local warning signal number three.
