Bangladesh Innovation Fair 2026 Opens in Dhaka
The grand opening ceremony of the Bangladesh Innovation Fair 2026 took place in Dhaka. State Minister for Planning Junaid Abdur Rahim Saki attended the event as the chief guest.
The capital city of Dhaka hosted the grand opening ceremony of the highly anticipated Bangladesh Innovation Fair 2026 on the 14th of September. The inaugural event of this significant national gathering was held at the prestigious venue of the Bangabandhu Novotheatre auditorium, located in the prominent Agargaon area of Dhaka.
Adding immense significance to the inaugural proceedings, State Minister for Planning Junaid Abdur Rahim Saki graced the occasion by attending as the chief guest. His presence underscored the government's official focus on technological advancement, innovation, and national development during the fair.
Addressing the audience at the Bangabandhu Novotheatre auditorium, chief guest Junaid Abdur Rahim Saki shared profound insights regarding the integration of new knowledge and practical industry needs. He specifically stated that if the creation of new knowledge, technology-dependent skills, and research can be effectively connected with the real demands of industries, it will create fresh opportunities for employment and the generation of new entrepreneurs.
Expanding further on governance and resource management, the State Minister for Planning emphasized the critical importance of inter-ministerial coordination. He noted that if coordination between the Ministry of Planning and other ministries and divisions can be strengthened, it will reduce the repetition of identical projects, ensure the effective utilization of government resources, and make it possible to decrease both the time and cost required for project implementation.
The opening ceremony successfully brought together a wide array of distinguished individuals, institutional representatives, and organizational stakeholders at the Agargaon venue. Notable figures associated with the event include Shahir Chowdhury, Syed Almas Kabir, Dr. Naznin Kawsar Chowdhury, Akhtar Uddin Mahmud, Durdana Chowdhury, and Dr. Sajjad Hossain.
