Bangladesh Gold Prices Rise Again Following Global Market Increases
Gold prices in the local market of Bangladesh have increased due to rising prices in the global market. The Bangladesh Jeweller's Association announced the price adjustment through a formal notification on Tuesday.

Gold prices in the local market of Bangladesh have increased due to rising prices in the global market, according to recent market updates. The decision to adjust and increase the prices of gold was officially announced by the Bangladesh Jeweller's Association, also referred to as Bajus, through a notification issued on Tuesday.
Following the announcement, the price for 22-carat gold has increased by 1,633 taka per bhori. With this latest adjustment, the price of one bhori of 22-carat gold has now risen to stand at 2,47,743 taka. The previous price adjustment for gold in the country had occurred earlier on August 22.
In addition to the 22-carat gold, prices for other purity grades have also been set under the new rates. The price of 21-carat gold has been fixed at 2,36,604 taka per bhori, while 18-carat gold is now priced at 2,03,187 taka per bhori. Meanwhile, the price for traditional method gold has been set at 1,65,920 taka per bhori.
According to the latest figures detailing the market trends, gold prices have risen by a total of 7,115 taka per bhori across consecutive adjustments, including changes noted between last Saturday and Tuesday. Market data indicates that global gold prices reached a high of 4,625 dollars per ounce, with current global rates recorded at 4,625 dollars per ounce.
