The current market rates continue to reflect the adjustments made earlier in the week, with no further revisions announced by the industry's governing trade body.
On Wednesday, September 9, the price of gold jewelry was reduced across the domestic market, providing a new pricing structure for consumers and retailers alike. Following this adjustment, the Bangladesh Jeweller Association (BAJUS) website officially updated the relevant price information on Friday, September 11.
Under the current pricing framework maintained across the country, the best quality 22-carat gold jewelry is being sold at 2,34,038 Taka per bhori, which includes the applicable Value Added Tax (VAT). This benchmark rate represents the highest tier of gold currently traded under the established market guidelines.
Other purity grades of gold are also holding steady at their previously designated levels. Specifically, the price for 21-carat gold jewelry is officially marked at 2,23,541 Taka per bhori, while 18-carat gold jewelry is priced at 1,91,9৩১ Taka per bhori. Additionally, traditional method gold is being retailed at 1,56,822 Taka per bhori.
Alongside gold, the market prices for silver jewelry and related items are also maintaining their previous positions without any immediate alterations. The pricing structure designates 22-carat silver jewelry at 5,132 Taka per bhori, 21-carat silver at 4,957 Taka per bhori, and 18-carat silver at 4,257 Taka per bhori.
