Bangladesh Ensures Surplus Fertilizer Supply for Rabi and Boro Seasons
The government has prepared a surplus supply of 1.58 million metric tonnes of fertilizer to meet demand during the Rabi and Boro seasons. This initiative aims to maintain uninterrupted agricultural production across the country.
In an effort to sustain agricultural production throughout the country, the government has taken proactive measures to guarantee an adequate and uninterrupted supply of fertilizer for the upcoming Rabi and Boro cultivation seasons.
According to reports from the national news agency BSS, authorities have made comprehensive preparations to ensure that the total supply exceeds the actual projected demand by a significant margin. Specifically, a surplus of 15,84,000 (15.84 lakh) metric tonnes of fertilizer has been successfully prepared for distribution.
This substantial buffer stock is intended to prevent any potential shortages that could disrupt farming activities during crucial agricultural cycles. By securing this extensive reserve, the administration aims to provide total stability and reassurance to farmers who rely heavily on timely access to agricultural inputs.
In tandem with maintaining this surplus volume, the government has officially initiated steps to allocate fertilizer at one hundred percent of the required levels based on specific district-by-district demand assessments.
This targeted regional approach is designed to eliminate distribution bottlenecks and ensure that every farming community receives its exact quota without facing logistical shortfalls.
