In a significant development for the nation's financial sector, Bangladesh Bank has officially signed an agreement with PKSF to implement a special stimulus fund. The official signing ceremony took place yesterday, Wednesday, at the Bangladesh Bank Building located in Dhaka.

This newly established special stimulus fund carries a total value of Tk 5,000 crore (five thousand crore takas). The primary objective of creating and deploying this substantial financial package is to provide targeted financing directly to micro-enterprises operating within the country.

According to the confirmed details of the agreement, the infusion of these funds is specifically designed to accelerate the creation of sustainable employment opportunities. By supporting smaller businesses through this financial backing, authorities hope to bolster economic resilience at the grassroots level.

Several notable officials were present during the formal signing ceremony at the central bank's Dhaka headquarters to represent the involved organizations. Among the attendees participating in the event were ড. মো. কবির আহাম্মদ, মো. আনিছুর রহমান, নওশাদ মোস্তাফা, মো. ফজলুল কাদের, ড. আকন্দ মোহাম্মদ রফিকুল ইসলাম, and ড. একেএম নুরুজ্জামান.

The agreement brings together key institutional players from Bangladesh Bank, PKSF, and the এসএমই অ্যান্ড এসপিডি divisions. Through this collaborative framework, the stakeholders intend to ensure the proper and effective distribution of the Tk 5,000 crore stimulus package to deserving micro-enterprises throughout Bangladesh.
