Bangladesh Bank has officially established a 3 billion taka export diversification refinancing scheme aimed at broadening the range of export products in the country. This financial initiative was formally formalized through an agreement between the central bank and NRBC Bank PLC, enabling the commercial institution to participate in loan distribution under the newly formed program.

Under the terms of the newly signed agreement, participating financial institutions are authorized to channel funds directly to entrepreneurs operating within promising and high-potential export sectors. The scheme is specifically designed to provide targeted financial support to businesses seeking to expand and diversify their product offerings for international markets.

A key feature of this refinancing scheme is the interest rate cap imposed on the end borrowers. Entrepreneurs who qualify for financing under this initiative will receive loans at an interest rate not exceeding a maximum of 7 percent, ensuring accessible capital for businesses looking to grow their export capacity.

The agreement was concluded following official proceedings in Bangladesh, involving key officials from the respective institutions. Among the notable participants mentioned in connection with the event are একেএম নুরুন নবী, ড. মো. তৌহিদুল আলম খান, মুহাম্মদ আবু আলম মহসীন, তনুশ্রী মিত্র, and মীর মো. আব্বাস আলী, alongside representatives from the central bank's সাসটেইনেবল ফাইন্যান্স ডিপার্টমেন্ট.

This developmental step underscores ongoing efforts by financial authorities in Bangladesh to stimulate economic growth through targeted monetary policies. By easing the financial burden on export-oriented enterprises through the 3 billion taka fund, the central bank aims to strengthen the nation's broader export landscape.
