Army Boxing Competition 2026 Concludes at Jashore Cantonment

The closing and prize-distribution ceremony of the Bangladesh Army Boxing Competition 2026 was officially held on August 28, 2026, at the Jashore Cantonment. The high-profile sporting event brought together athletes and officials from across the military establishment, showcasing physical endurance, discipline, and competitive spirit within the armed forces.

A total of 14 teams from various formations and divisions participated in the multi-day tournament, engaging in rigorous bouts that highlighted the athletic prowess and training standards of the personnel. The competition was organized under the overall supervision of the military authorities, with the headquarters of the 55 Infantry Division playing a significant role in hosting the event.

At the conclusion of the tournament, the 24 Infantry Division clinched the championship title following a series of impressive performances in the ring. Meanwhile, the 66 Infantry Division secured the position of runner-up after a commendable showing throughout the championship events.

Individual brilliance was also recognized during the closing ceremony. Lance Corporal Md. Hossain Ali of the 19 Infantry Division was named the best player of the competition for his exceptional skill and performance. Additionally, Shant Shaheb of the 55 Infantry Division was honored as the best novice player, marking a promising beginning to his sporting career within the military.

Lieutenant General Md. Mainur Rahman, the Chief of General Staff of the Bangladesh Army, graced the occasion as the chief guest. He witnessed the final bouts and subsequently distributed prizes among the winners, champions, and outstanding individual athletes, lauding their dedication and sportsmanship.
