Amazon Joins YouTube Shopping Affiliate Program to Boost Creator Commerce
Amazon has officially integrated into the YouTube Shopping affiliate program, allowing creators to link directly to products. YouTube CEO Neal Mohan announced the major expansion on X as participation continues to grow globally.

In a significant development for creator commerce, Amazon has joined the YouTube Shopping affiliate program, opening up new monetization avenues for content producers across the platform. The expansion was officially announced today by YouTube CEO Neal Mohan, who shared the news in a post on the social media platform X.
Under the newly established partnership, eligible YouTube creators can now seamlessly link out to a wide array of Amazon product listings directly from their regular videos, YouTube Shorts, and live-streaming broadcasts. When viewers click on these integrated links and complete a purchase, the participating content creators will earn a financial commission on the resulting sales.
This latest commercial rollout builds upon previous platform adjustments designed to make ecommerce tools more accessible to digital creators. Notably, YouTube proactively lowered the subscriber threshold required for creators to participate in its broader ecommerce system earlier this year in March, effectively broadening the pool of eligible participants.
Momentum for the shopping ecosystem appears strong, with recent milestone data indicating that more than 1 million people have already signed on to participate in YouTube Shopping overall. Furthermore, the underlying affiliate program has seen a recent geographical expansion, having recently launched in several key international markets including Argentina, Mexico, and the United Kingdom.
