Actress Ridhika Ridhi Found Dead in Dhaka; Boyfriend Arrested

Bangladeshi actress Ridhika Ridhi has been found dead from a hanging position inside her apartment located within the Bashundhara Residential Area of Dhaka. The tragic incident, which has sent shockwaves through the local entertainment community, came to light on Saturday, August 16, 2026, when family members discovered her unresponsive condition.

Following the grim discovery, members of Ridhika Ridhi's family rushed the actress to the Kurmitola General Hospital in an urgent bid to save her life. However, upon arrival at the medical facility, the attending physicians examined the actress and formally declared her dead.

In the wake of the tragedy, the mother of the deceased actress stepped forward to take legal action. She lodged a formal complaint with local law enforcement, acting as the plaintiff in a newly registered case that specifically accuses the victim's boyfriend, Hasibur Rahman, of abetment to suicide.

Acting swiftly on the grieving mother's allegations, officers from the Bhatara Police Station launched an operation connected to the case. Police successfully apprehended Hasibur Rahman on Saturday, taking him into custody directly from the premises where the tragic event had transpired earlier that day.

Providing details regarding the arrest and ongoing legal proceedings, Mazharul Islam of the local authorities stated that Hasibur Rahman had visited Ridhika Ridhi's home on the very day the incident occurred.
